Lamboo Inc. is a technology, and manufacturing company founded from the combined experience of seasoned architects, structural engineers, material scientist, and biotechnology specialist on the forefront of cutting edge, sustainable design technology for the residential and commercial construction industries worldwide.
Lamboo, Inc. produces engineered structural bamboo for architectural applications. Bamboo, as a building product, offers enhanced performance over traditional forms of construction material. Integrating bamboo’s natural attributes into the Lamboo laminated process has created a superior structural building material that offers benefits to the environment, the construction industry, and architects/engineers throughout the world.
Lamboo Inc. has initiated the process of the development of ASTM Standards for commercialized use in the US and other countries. Lamboo is working hard to gain acknowledgment, acceptance, and certification from the following:
ASTM (American Standard of Testing Materials) - 5456, task group D.07.02.03
ICC (International Code Council) - AC47
USGBC, LEED® CREDITS. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
MR Credit 6 - Rapidly renewable materials
IEQ Credit 4.4 - Low-emitting materials
ID Credit 1 - Environmental preferable material
ID Credit 2 -Life Cycle Assessment/ Environmental Impact
Lamboo, Inc. is an environmentally responsible company leading the structural engineered bamboo industry. Lamboo has two locations in Illinois and partnerships worldwide. Through partnerships, our products are available internationally for your next project.
Our Mission
Our mission here
at Lamboo Inc. is to develop and supply the most efficient, renewable resources
available for structural and architectural applications within the construction
and manufacturing industries. Lamboo
Inc. and its partners envision a world where engineered structural bamboo is easily integrated into existing architecture and design. By reducing the
construction industries’ devastation of countless forests and by promoting
“green” building within our global communities, we are committed to making a
positive impact on our world.
Through research and proprietary technology, our
innovative group of material scientists, architects, and engineers are focused
on developing specific and new trend-setting processes that will aid in the
recovery of our natural ecosystems.
Through streamlined logistics, multiple source locations, and
manufacturing facilities throughout North, Central, and South America, we are
able to efficiently supply any market wishing to utilize these
innovative materials and supply any design professional, contractor, or
manufacturer and their facilities worldwide.

Certifications
Lamboo, Inc. has initiated drafting and revisions of internationally recognized standards within ASTM (American Standard of Testing Materials) and ICC (International Code Council) for the integration of LVB (laminated veneer bamboo) products for structural and architectural applications. The uses of Lamboo products qualify for up to four LEED® CREDITS. All of our products contribute to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification under MR Credit 6 - Rapidly renewable materials, IEQ Credit 4.4 - Low-emitting materials; ID Credit 1 - Innovation in Design (Environmentally Preferable Material), and ID Credit 2 - Innovation in Design (Life Cycle Assessment / Environmental Impact).
*All LEED Point referances are suggested with the use of Lamboo LVB material in LEED Qualified Projects. LEED applicants should use there own objective determinations of product attributes in LEED certification Process. Please refer to USGBC website for more information regarding your specific projects.*

Sustainability
In the world we live in today with global warming, sparse fossil fuels, endangered species, land degradation, pollution, soil erosion, deforestation, habitat destruction, nuclear meltdown, ozone depletion, resource
depletion, toxins, herbicides, pesticides, and wild fires we are proud to offer you the most sustainable, fastest growing, environmentally and economically friendly
products on the market.
Lamboo in comparison to timber takes 4 years to fully mature, where as timber on average takes 25 to 50 years to mature. Lamboo has 3 times the structural capacity of timber, achieving longer spans which allows for use of
less material. Bamboo can be harvested without replanting, due to its root structure and grass like features, which eliminate soil erosion. Unlike other
crops, bamboo requires little or no pesticides to grow, because of a natural bio-agent that is bound to the plant at the molecular level. There is no comparison as far as yield per
acre; bamboo can be harvested at a rate of 14 tons of usable fiber per acre every four to six years. In comparison, 8 tons of timber can be harvested per
acre every 25 years. Timber is and has been an excellent fiber source, but bamboo is another source of fiber that
cannot be ignored.
Bamboo as a resource is the most sustainable plant used in the manufacturing of structural and architectural systems.
It has many uses, many species, versatility, and much more. It offers value to the planet and the life on it. You can wear bamboo, play
bamboo, ride bamboo, eat bamboo, build with bamboo and live in a house made of bamboo, just to name a few.
Lamboo, Inc. is as sustainable as its products. They are creating new jobs in the U.S. and Latin American nations. They are streamlining their operations for shipping and logistics; they customize each individual order to eliminate waste of resources and time. The four species of bamboo that are used are
not used as a food source or habitat for any animals. Every element of operations has been carefully monitored and
reevaluated to ensure the best possible products, services and future for our company and our planet.
