Lamboo® Utilized in Solar Decathlon Project Placing 1st in U.S. and 2nd Internationally

Students from the University of Maryland competed in a Solar Decathlon competition in 2017 sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy where they entered to design and build energy-efficient, solar-powered houses. The design of UMD’s house included the Lamboo® Rainscreen™ exterior cladding system to complete their theme of innovation and sustainability. UMD’s solar house placed 1st among the U.S. and took 2nd place in the world.
